The Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary extends over a large area of rainforest in south central Belize, and includes Victoria peak, (pictured in distance) the highest mountain in Belize. Although this rainforest is largely secondary, there is a large population of wild cats, including jaguar, ocelot, and jaguarundi.
